From a Humble Beginning To a Global Textile Partner.
Hercules Knittings began with 9 knitting machines and a team of 6.
Mr. Hari began his entrepreneurial journey by establishing Hercules Knittings, a small knitting unit focused on knitted dishcloths and kitchen towels.
That first product range laid the foundation for what would later become a diversified textile manufacturing business.
Rising demand brought our first expansion, and from 2007 to 2014 we worked as a sub-supplier to IKEA.
As more customers came to us for knitted dishcloths and kitchen towels, we added more machinery and increased our workforce to keep up with the demand.
From 2007 to 2014, we worked as a sub-supplier to IKEA, which strengthened our quality systems and export discipline.
This marked our first major phase of growth.
We grew beyond dishcloths into a wider home textile range.
We further expanded our knitting facilities and introduced new product categories, including:
This helped us develop greater expertise in premium knitted home textiles.
C S Textile was born, named in honour of our father, Mr. Chinnasamy.
With a vision to manufacture and supply our products directly to customers around the world, we established a new company: C S Textile.
The name “C S” was chosen in honour of our father, Mr. Chinnasamy.
This became an important milestone in our journey from a domestic manufacturer to an internationally focused textile company.
We moved into a factory of our own.
We opened our own manufacturing facility and shifted our existing machinery and production operations into the new factory.
The facility was developed with a strong focus on social compliance, responsible manufacturing and employee welfare.
German-made flat knitting machines joined our production floor.
We invested in fully fashioned flat knitting machines imported from Germany, replacing much of our older machinery.
This technological upgrade enabled us to improve:
International certifications opened the door to global buyers.
As part of our commitment to responsible and sustainable textile manufacturing, we achieved important certifications and compliance standards, including:
GOTS, OEKO-TEX, GRS, OCS and SEDEX.

From this point onward, we continued to build a strong international presence, particularly in luxury knitted home textile products.

Fairtrade certification marked a turning point in how we think about manufacturing.
Sustainability increasingly became an important part of our manufacturing philosophy, including responsible sourcing and environmentally conscious production.
Recognised as a Star Export House by the Government of India.
Becoming a Government of India recognised Star Export House was another important milestone for us.
This recognition reflected our continued export growth, our international customer relationships and our commitment to global trade.
Construction began on our new, greener factory.
